Therapy that meets you where you are.

Jas Singh, counsellor and psychotherapist at Solihull Therapy Room

Meet your Therapist

Hi, I'm Jas.

Over the years I've supported people experiencing anxiety, grief, overwhelming stress, relationship difficulties and life-changing loss. My approach combines person-centred therapy with practical psychological approaches, tailoring therapy to the individual rather than expecting people to fit a particular model.

If you've found yourself feeling overwhelmed, stuck, constantly overthinking or simply exhausted by trying to cope alone, therapy can offer a different experience.

People often tell me they were nervous before their first session but quickly found themselves talking more openly than they expected. My aim isn't to analyse you or tell you what to do. It's to understand your world, at your pace, and work alongside you.

Many people come because something simply doesn't feel right anymore. Perhaps you're constantly overthinking, finding it hard to switch off, carrying grief that never seems to ease, or feeling like you've lost sight of yourself. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to work it out alone.

I was also one of those blokes who spent years keeping everything internalised, never asking for help. It's only through my own therapy that I realised there's someone out there who can try to help you, and meet you where you are, which is exactly what I hope to offer here.

My approach

Grounded in three things

Whatever brings you to therapy, sessions are shaped around the same core principles.

Person-centred

You're the expert on your own life. My role is to offer a warm, honest space, not to direct or diagnose from a distance.

Practical & structured

Where it helps, we'll use structured, evidence-informed tools, particularly for anxiety, stress and unhelpful thought patterns.

Paced & safe

For trauma-related work especially, we go at a pace that feels safe, never further or faster than you're ready for.
